You heard right. With the Otterbox Armor Waterproof iPod cases, you can take your iPod in up to 3 feet of water. Great for wading or light swimming, but no surfing or scuba diving as the case is not built to withstand that type of pressure.
iPod Nano Cases dot net has tested the 2nd generation iPod Nano Otterbox Armor case with positive results. We’ve dropped it from heights of three to six feet, let it sit for an hour in a big bowl of fresh water, took it in the shower and to the beach, and let the kids play with it and toss it around…and our iPod, as well as the Otterbox case, is still in excellent condition.
The case is just a little bulky, but what the Otterbox Armor case lacks in compact portability and aesthetic appeal, it makes up in the protection area. It is waterproof, dirtproof, sandproof, and dropproof.
The case comes with an attached, but removable, belt clip. An armband is also available for purchase (if you like running in the rain or doing laps in a swimming pool with music, just strap your mp3 player safely and securely on your arm…then you’ll be all set to enjoy the music in a hands-free manner). Waterproof headphones are also available for purchase.
